Bradley Beal
Bradley Beal, Bogdan Bogdanovic out Wednesday
Tue, Oct 14, 2025, 9:56 AM
Joey Linn
According to Clippers beat reporter Joey Linn, Bradley Beal (knee) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (back) will be out for Wednesday's matchup with the Kings.
Analysis: With Beal and Bogi sidelined, LA will start James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, Ivica Zubac and Derrick Jones Jr. Coach Ty Lue didn't name a fifth starter but noted that it wouldn't be John Collins.
Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi Leonard scores 17 points in 19 minutes
Sun, Oct 12, 2025, 6:38 PM
Kawhi Leonard ended with 19 points in Sunday's loss to the Nuggets.
Analysis: He chipped in two rebounds, an assist and two steals. Leonard led LA in scoring, and he did it efficiently, shooting 5-of-10 from the floor and 6-of-6 from the charity stripe. Availability is always the biggest concern when drafting Leonard in fantasy hoops, but he's proven to be an elite contributor on both ends of the floor when healthy.
John Collins
John Collins scores 15 points in 17 minutes
Thu, Oct 9, 2025, 7:09 PM
John Collins shot 6-of-8 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Thursday's win over Guangzhou, finishing with 15 points, four rebounds, one steal and one three-pointer.
Analysis: After two seasons with the Jazz, Collins joined a Clippers team that aims to contend for a championship this season. That alone preserves some of his fantasy value after spending two years with a franchise willing to tank to increase its draft lottery odds. However, Collins was used in a reserve role against Guangzhou, with Derrick Jones Jr. (six points, one rebound and two three-pointers in eight minutes) receiving the starting nod. There's still a lot of basketball to be played during the preseason, so Collins is not locked into a reserve role. But this is a position battle to track, as JC's ceiling would be limited if he's asked to come off the bench full-time.
Chris Paul
Chris Paul records 15/6/4/1/2 line in blowout win
Thu, Oct 9, 2025, 7:08 PM
Chris Paul accumulated 15 points (4-of-6 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), six rebounds, four assists, one steal, two blocks and four three-pointers in Thursday's win over Guangzhou.
Analysis: Paul began his second stint with the Clippers on Thursday, putting forth a stellar performance against an overmatched Guangzhou squad. After a disappointing 2023-24 season with the Warriors, CP3 was rejuvenated during his lone season with the Spurs. However, he'll be asked to serve as James Harden's backup in Los Angeles, which limits the 40-year-old's fantasy ceiling. He's worth selecting in the latter rounds of drafts, especially when factoring in nights when James Harden or Bradley Beal is unavailable.
Brook Lopez
Brook Lopez scores nine points in Clippers debut
Thu, Oct 9, 2025, 7:08 PM
Brook Lopez tallied nine points (4-of-7 FGs), two rebounds, three assists, one block and one three-pointer in Thursday's win over Guangzhou.
Analysis: Lopez agreed to a deal with the Clippers during the offseason and will slot in as Ivica Zubac's backup after seven productive seasons in Milwaukee. No worse than a top-60 player in any of his three prior seasons, Lopez will have a tough time cracking the top-100 off the bench. He'll provide blocks and three-pointers, but the value isn't enough to make BroLo much more than a late-round flier or in-season streaming option.
James Harden
James Harden dishes out nine assists Thursday
Thu, Oct 9, 2025, 7:08 PM
James Harden amassed five points (2-of-3 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), two rebounds and nine assists in Thursday's win over Guangzhou.
Analysis: Harden did not score much in the Clippers' preseason opener, but he did lead the team in assists. By now, fantasy managers are aware of what The Beard brings to the table. He can offer first-round value in category leagues, but the playing time will likely decrease due to the addition of Chris Paul to the roster. In fact, Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue said early in camp that he wants to reduce Harden's workload this season. CP3 played 17 minutes off the bench and is reliable enough to ensure the Clippers don't overwork Harden this season.
Ivica Zubac
Ivica Zubac posts 15/5/2/1 line vs. Guangzhou
Thu, Oct 9, 2025, 7:07 PM
Ivica Zubac tallied 15 points (7-of-8 FGs, 1-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, two assists and one steal in Thursday's win over Guangzhou.
Analysis: Coming off the best season of his NBA career, Zubac got his preseason off to a good start Thursday night. Along with James Harden and Kawhi Leonard, the 7-footer did not play after halftime in Thursday's blowout victory. Zubac's fantasy outlook may not be as rosy as some believe it to be, based on his Yahoo! ADP. Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue said earlier this preseason that Zubac played too much last season, and that was due to the team's lack of reliable centers behind their starter. With the additions of Brook Lopez and John Collins, Zubac may not reach 30 minutes per game after averaging nearly 33 last season.
Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi Leonard sinks five triples, scores 18 points
Thu, Oct 9, 2025, 7:07 PM
Kawhi Leonard finished Thursday's win over Guangzhou with 18 points (6-of-10 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), two assists and five three-pointers.
Analysis: Leonard was supposed to be capped at 17 minutes in Thursday's preseason opener, but he exceeded that threshold by one minute. The Clippers had to be encouraged by what they saw from their star forward, as he shot the ball well from beyond the arc. Compared to other offseasons, Leonard could focus on his game instead of getting healthy. That should benefit him once the regular season begins, but fantasy managers should anticipate Kawhi being under some restrictions either way. The availability question is what lowers his ADP, as the Clippers forward can offer elite value when he's on the floor.
Bogdan Bogdanovic
Bogdan Bogdanovi? (back) will not return Thursday
Thu, Oct 9, 2025, 5:47 PM
Law Murray
Bogdan Bogdanovi? (back) will not return to Thursday's exhibition against Guangzhou.
Analysis: Unfortunately, Bogi only played two minutes in Thursday's exhibition opener before exiting with a lower back injury. While the veteran wing said he was fine while walking back to the locker room, there's no need to risk anything in a preseason game. Bogdanovi?'s early departure frees up additional minutes for Jordan Miller and Trentyn Flowers, who are both on two-way deals.
Bogdan Bogdanovic
Bogdan Bogdanovi? to start Thursday night
Thu, Oct 9, 2025, 3:36 PM
Grant Mona
James Harden, Bogdan Bogdanovi?, Kawhi Leonard, Derrick Jones Jr. and Ivica Zubac will start Thursday's exhibition against Guangzhou.
Analysis: Harden, Leonard and Zubac being the starting lineup for the Clippers' preseason opener was to be expected. However, with Bradley Beal (knee) still working his way back from offseason surgery, Bogdanovi? will start at shooting guard. He had an injury scare during EuroBasket this summer. However, while Bogi was limited early in training camp, the limitations did not last long. Also of note is Jones receiving the starting nod at the four, with John Collins coming off the bench. Many assumed Collins would slot into the starting role when he was signed in the summer, but Jones has a legitimate shot at beginning the regular season as a starter.
Bradley Beal
Beal (knee) fully participates in Monday practice
Mon, Oct 6, 2025, 3:27 PM
Law Murray
Bradley Beal (knee) was a full participant in Monday's practice.
Analysis: Beal, who was limited to begin training camp after undergoing an arthroscopic procedure on his knee during the offseason, was a full participant in Monday's session. That included some 5-on-5 scrimmaging, and the veteran guard is trending in the right direction. Beal will not play in Thursday's exhibition against Guangzhou, but he did say the plan was for him to be at full go in time for the Clippers' regular season opener against the Jazz on October 22. While his injury history makes Beal a challenging player to trust with an early draft pick, he'll be worth a look in the middle rounds.
Ivica Zubac
Lue: Ivica Zubac ‘played too much' last season
Sat, Oct 4, 2025, 2:56 AM
Orange County Register
Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue said recently that he believes starting center Ivica Zubac “played too much” last season.
Analysis: The 2024-25 season was the most productive of Zubac's NBA career, as he recorded career-best averages in points, rebounds and assists while averaging nearly 33 minutes per game. However, the increase in playing time was partially due to the Clippers' lack of options behind Zubac at the center position. They looked to address that issue in free agency, adding Brook Lopez and John Collins, with the latter expected to be the starting power forward. In addition, Lue believes that the team was too reliant on Zubac last season, and it may be challenging for him to average at least 30 minutes per game again in 2025-26. “We didn't really have a backup center (last season), so when things got tough, we always had to get Zu back in the game,” Lue said. “I thought he played for too many minutes. If you asked him, he didn't play enough, but for me it's just too many minutes.” While Zubac's production justifies him as an option in the third round of standard-league drafts, managers must be mindful of the likely decrease in playing time.
Bradley Beal
Lue: Bradley Beal will be the starting two guard
Tue, Sep 30, 2025, 11:28 AM
Tomer Azarly
According to NBA reporter Tomer Azarly, Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue said that Bradley Beal will be the team's starting two guard.
Analysis: Beal started all 53 of his appearances for the Suns in 2023-24 but started only 38 of 53 games in 2024-25. Confirmation of a starting gig alongside James Harden in the backcourt is a positive for Beal's fantasy outlook heading into his first season with the Clippers. After appearing in 82 games in 2018-19, Beal hasn't played more than 60 in a season. The Clippers already plan to reduce Harden's workload, and they could do the same for Beal, which may mean fewer touches but increased efficiency. He won't be asked to do as much as he was in two seasons with Phoenix.
James Harden
James Harden to see reduced workload in 2025-26
Tue, Sep 30, 2025, 11:21 AM
Tomer Azarly
According to NBA reporter Tomer Azarly, Clippers head coach Ty Lue wants to reduce James Harden's workload in 2025-26.
Analysis: It's an understandable proposition from Lue, given Harden's age, though he cited Kawhi Leonard's healthy offseason and the team's offseason additions as his reasoning. Los Angeles' roster is one of the oldest in the Association, but it is also one of the deepest, so it wouldn't be surprising if Harden operated without the ball in his hands as often he has in previous seasons. This shouldn't dissuade fantasy managers from drafting him within the top-50 picks, but less touches does lower his ceiling.
Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi (knee) healthy to begin training camp
Mon, Sep 29, 2025, 7:56 AM
Law Murray
According to lead executive Lawrence Frank, Kawhi Leonard (knee) is fully healthy to begin Clippers training camp.
Analysis: Leonard has been the subject of conversation throughout the offseason, but that is due to the contract he agreed to with the Clippers rather than his health. While the league's investigation into the contract is ongoing, having a healthy Leonard is excellent news for the Clippers as they open training camp on Tuesday. The lingering question is whether or not the load management actions of the past will remain in place. Given the amount of experience the Clippers added this offseason, it's conceivable that they'll prioritize having Leonard fully healthy for the postseason over him surpassing 65 games played, which he has done once since the 2016-17 season.
Bradley Beal
Bradley Beal (knee) limited to begin training camp
Mon, Sep 29, 2025, 7:51 AM
Law Murray
Bradley Beal (knee) will be limited at the start of Clippers' training camp.
Analysis: Beal, who agreed to a two-year deal with the Clippers in July, underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his knee during the offseason. The veteran guard missed a substantial amount of time during his two seasons in Phoenix, so Monday's news provided by Clippers lead executive Lawrence Frank will certainly concern fantasy managers. The injury history has negatively impacted Beal's early ADP numbers, and Monday's developments won't help matters. There's certainly the potential for him to offer significant value with the Clippers, but fantasy managers who draft Beal are rolling the dice.
Bogdan Bogdanovic
Bogdanovic (hamstring) limited to start camp
Mon, Sep 29, 2025, 7:50 AM
Law Murray
Bogdan Bogdanovic (hamstring) is limited to start training camp.
Analysis: Both Bradley Beal (knee) and Bogdanovic are limited, and while it isn't clear if this will impact either player's status for opening night, it isn't what the Clippers want to see at this point. Kris Dunn should see the largest role increase if Bogi and Beal are forced to miss any time.
Kawhi Leonard
NBA opens probe into Kawhi Leonard contract
Wed, Sep 3, 2025, 10:40 AM
Shams Charania
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the NBA is investigating Kawhi Leonard's contract for potential salary cap violations.
Analysis: Things started on Wednesday morning when his findings regarding Kawhi Leonard's receipt of a $28 million endorsement deal from a fraudulent tree brokerage company funded by Clippers owner Steve Ballmer. According to the investigation, the Clippers star performed no work in exchange for the endorsement deal. If the NBA finds in its investigation that this deal was made to circumvent league salary cap rules, the Clippers could be in serious trouble. The company, Aspiration, filed for bankruptcy in March, with an LLC connected to Leonard on the list of creditors. Aspiration owes KL2 Aspire LLC $7 million, and its co-founder, Joseph Sanberg, was under allegations that he conspired to defraud investors of $145 million.
Bogdan Bogdanovic
Bogdan Bogdanovic (hamstring) done for EuroBasket
Sun, Aug 31, 2025, 5:30 AM
Serbia Basketball
Bogdan Bogdanovic (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of FIBA EuroBasket.
Analysis: Bogdanovic injured his hamstring during Serbia's win over Portugal in the team's second EuroBasket group stage game. According to the Serbian basketball federation, he has been diagnosed with a hamstring tear and has returned to Los Angeles to undergo treatment under the observation of the Clippers' team doctors. The severity of the injury remains unknown, but at a minimum, Bogdanovic will not play again at EuroBasket. The question now is how long the recovery process will take and whether he'll be healthy when training camp opens in late September.
Ben Simmons
Windhorst: Ben Simmons may decide next team soon
Thu, Jul 24, 2025, 3:59 PM
Brian Windhorst
ESPN's Brian Windhorst reports Ben Simmons will “probably” determine where he'll sign within the next week.
Analysis: While Simmons' career has not panned out the way many expected it to, his playmaking and defensive abilities mean there is interest in the free agent forward. In his report, Windhorst mentioned the Kings, Suns, Knicks and Celtics as teams linked with Simmons. The potential impact on fantasy basketball will depend on the location and Simmons' health, which has been problematic for most of his NBA career. He played in 51 games last season between the Nets and Clippers, averaging 5.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 0.7 steals in 22.0 minutes.
