Nicolas Batum
Nicolas Batum says he'll play vs. Denver Saturday
Fri, Apr 18, 2025, 10:35 AM
Joey Linn
Nicolas Batum (groin) said he will play against the Nuggets on Saturday.
Analysis: Batum practiced fully on Wednesday, so it isn't surprising that he will be available to play in Game 1 against Denver. The Clippers haven't released an official injury report yet, but Batum should play his usual role off the bench, which was 17.5 minutes per game during the regular season.

Lue: Nicolas Batum (groin) practiced Wednesday

Law Murray
Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue said Nicolas Batum (groin) participated in Wednesday's practice.
Analysis: After injuring his groin during an April 9 game against Houston, Batum did not play in the Clippers' final two regular-season games. Wednesday's practice was the team's first time on the court since their overtime win over the Warriors on Sunday, and Batum was among the participants. The veteran forward, who will reportedly be re-evaluated on Wednesday, was a full participant in the session, which bodes well for Batum. The Clippers won't begin their first-round series against the Nuggets until Saturday, so there's still time for Batum to recover from his injury.

Nicolas Batum (groin) to be evaluated Wednesday

Law Murray
Nicolas Batum (groin) will be evaluated on Wednesday as he works toward being available for Saturday's game against the Nuggets.
Analysis: Batum missed the Clippers' final two regular-season games after injuring his groin on Wednesday, not even traveling up the coast for matchups with the Kings and Warriors. The team did not practice on Tuesday, beginning their preparations for the Nuggets with film study. Batum does not provide consistent value on the offensive end of the floor, but his defensive ability makes him an important player off the bench.
James Harden
James Harden records 39 points, 10 assists Sunday
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 1:07 PM
James Harden shot 13-of-23 from the field and 8-of-9 from the foul line in Sunday's win over the Warriors, scoring 39 points with seven rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, two blocks and five three-pointers in 48 minutes.
Analysis: Harden and the Clippers did what many did not believe them capable of before the season began, avoiding the play-in tournament due to their win in San Francisco. The Beard finished a game with at least 30 points and 10 assists for the 106th time in his career, tied for second-most in league history. Due to Sunday's victory, the Clippers will be the fifth seed in the West, and they'll face Denver in the first round.
Ivica Zubac
Ivica Zubac tallies 22 points, 17 rebounds Sunday
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 1:06 PM
Ivica Zubac played 42 minutes in Sunday's win over the Warriors, tallying 22 points (11-of-16 FGs), 17 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one blocked shot.
Analysis: Zubac, one of the most improved players in the NBA this season, ended his regular season with another stellar performance. He's recorded his 59th double-double and 15th in as many games. Thanks to their win over the Warriors, the Clippers will be the fifth seed in the West, with Denver being their first-round opponent. To say the matchup with Nikola Jokic will be challenging for Zubac would be an understatement, but he has been excellent this season.
Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi Leonard posts 33/6/7/3 line vs. Warriors
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 1:06 PM
Kawhi Leonard shot 13-of-20 from the field and 3-of-5 from the foul line in Sunday's win over the Warriors, scoring 33 points with six rebounds, seven assists, three steals and four three-pointers in 47 minutes.
Analysis: Leonard was outstanding on Sunday, as the Clippers' overtime victory gave the team the fifth seed in the West. His workload was just as encouraging as Leonard's production, as he played 47 of 53 minutes without issues. The Clippers avoiding the play-in tournament gets their stars additional time off ahead of next weekend's Game 1 in Denver, which could be critical for Leonard. After years of struggling with injuries, he appears to be in his best form.
Amir Coffey
Amir Coffey (knee) removed from injury report Sun.
Sat, Apr 12, 2025, 5:23 PM
NBA Injury Report
Amir Coffey (knee) is off the injury report for Sunday's game against the Warriors.
Analysis: Due to a knee injury, Coffey has not appeared in a game since March 30. While he should play rotation minutes off the bench, the Clippers' wing is unlikely to get the opportunities needed to impact active fantasy leagues.
Nicolas Batum
Nicolas Batum, Patty Mills out Sunday vs. GSW
Sat, Apr 12, 2025, 2:48 PM
NBA Injury Report
Nicolas Batum (groin) and Patty Mills (illness) will miss Sunday's game against the Warriors.
Analysis: Batum's absence impacts the Clippers' rotation for Sunday's game more. His absence means additional playing time for Derrick Jones Jr., but “Airplane Mode” is not worth the risk in most active fantasy leagues. Mills has not played consistent rotation minutes this season. Depending on Sunday's results, the Clippers can finish anywhere fourth, fifth or seventh in the Western Conference standings.
James Harden
James Harden records 80th triple-double vs. SAC
Fri, Apr 11, 2025, 6:52 PM
James Harden stuffed the stat sheet on Friday with 23 points (8-of-15 FGs), 11 rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, one block, two three-pointers and five turnovers in a 101-100 win over the Kings.
Analysis: Harden recorded the 80th triple-double of his career and made a few big plays late to help the Clippers secure the win. He also had a few rough plays down the stretch that nearly cost them, including two missed free throws and a turnover that gave the Kings the ball with two seconds left and a chance to win. It has been an excellent season for Harden, and he has really picked up his play recently as the Clippers push for a higher seed in the playoffs. They'll take on the Warriors in the regular season finale on Sunday.
Ivica Zubac
Ivica Zubac records another double-double in win
Fri, Apr 11, 2025, 6:49 PM
Ivica Zubac recorded a double-double on Friday with 17 points (8-of-9 FGs) and 10 rebounds against the Kings.
Analysis: This was the 14th-straight double-double for Zubac, which is the longest active streak in the league and the fifth-longest streak this season. Only Domantas Sabonis (24, 18), Giannis Antetokounmpo (19) and Karl-Anthony Towns (18) have had longer double-double streaks this year. Zubac has had a fantastic season and has only improved as the year progressed. He'll be candidate to make an All-Defensive team and is a big reason why the Clippers will have a chance to host in the first round of the playoffs.
Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi Leonard scores game-high 28 points in win
Fri, Apr 11, 2025, 6:45 PM
Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers with 28 points (10-of-21 FGs), six rebounds, three assists, one steal and two three-pointers against the Kings on Friday.
Analysis: Leonard made his presence felt in the first half and entered the break with 20 points, which included a triple with one second left in the second quarter to give the Clippers a halftime lead. Leonard has been playing at a high level over the past month and is a big reason why the Clippers are one of the hottest teams in the league entering the postseason. They will play the Warriors on Sunday to wrap up the regular season in what will be a must-win game for both teams.
Norman Powell
Norman Powell, Ivica Zubac available vs. Kings
Fri, Apr 11, 2025, 2:38 PM
Law Murray
Norman Powell (shoulder) and Ivica Zubac (ankle) are available to play against the Kings on Friday.
Analysis: Powell will be back after a one-game absence, which means that the Clippers will be at full strength in an important matchup for seeding in the West. Powell's return will push Derrick Jones Jr. back to the bench and eliminate any streaming value that he held. Zubac will occupy his typical spot in the starting unit.
Patty Mills
Patty Mills (illness) out Friday vs. Sacramento
Thu, Apr 10, 2025, 2:36 PM
Law Murray
Patty Mills (illness) is out for Friday's game against the Kings.
Analysis: Mills's continued absence does not impact fantasy basketball, as he is not in the Clippers' rotation most nights.
Nicolas Batum
Nicolas Batum (groin) out Friday vs. Sacramento
Thu, Apr 10, 2025, 2:32 PM
Law Murray
Nicolas Batum (groin) is out for Friday's game against the Kings.
Analysis: Batum exited Wednesday's win over the Rockets with a groin injury sustained in the first half. His absence on Friday may result in Kobe Brown picking up a few minutes on the back end of the rotation, but he'll still be way down in the pecking order. Brown does not need to be rostered in active fantasy leagues.
Ben Simmons
Ben Simmons (rest) removed from injury report
Thu, Apr 10, 2025, 2:30 PM
Law Murray
Ben Simmons (rest) is not on the injury report for Saturday's game against the Kings.
Analysis: Simmons will return to the Clippers' rotation after sitting out Wednesday's win over the Rockets. His best path to fantasy relevance would be for starting center Ivica Zubac (ankle) not to play. The Clippers listed Zubac as questionable in the initial injury report.
Norman Powell
Norman Powell, Ivica Zubac questionable Friday
Thu, Apr 10, 2025, 2:26 PM
Law Murray
Norman Powell (shoulder) and Ivica Zubac (ankle) are questionable for Friday's game against the Kings.
Analysis: While Zubac was on the court Wednesday night, recording his first career triple-double, Powell was held out due to a shoulder injury. He was replaced in the lineup by Derrick Jones Jr., who will likely retain that role if Powell does not play in Sacramento. As for Zubac, Drew Eubanks and Ben Simmons would be available to absorb his minutes.
Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi Leonard records 22/10/4/3 line vs. Houston
Wed, Apr 9, 2025, 6:56 PM
Kawhi Leonard accounted for 22 points (9-of-22 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), 10 rebounds, four assists, three steals and two three-pointers in 38 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Rockets.
Analysis: Leonard didn't shoot the ball as well as he's capable of Wednesday night, but he did record his fifth double-double of the season. Over the past month, he has provided top-10 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. The Clippers won't have to deal with a back-to-back again this season, so Leonard should be a full-go for games against the Kings and Warriors on Friday and Sunday. Leonard's managers in active leagues are undoubtedly pleased about this.
Ivica Zubac
Ivica Zubac records first career triple-double
Wed, Apr 9, 2025, 6:56 PM
Ivica Zubac accumulated 20 points (9-of-13 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), 11 rebounds, 10 assists and one steal in 35 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Rockets.
Analysis: Thanks to Bogdan Bogdanovic rattling in a three-pointer with just over one minute remaining, Zubac recorded his first career triple-double on Wednesday. It's another notable achievement for the Clippers' center, who is enjoying a career year and deserves to be mentioned among the NBA's most improved players. What's also good for Zubac managers in active leagues is that the Clippers need every win they can get for seeding reasons. This should ensure that he's available for the final two games of the regular season.
James Harden
James Harden drops 35 points, 10 assists vs. HOU
Wed, Apr 9, 2025, 6:55 PM
James Harden shot 10-of-18 from the field and 10-of-10 from the foul line in Wednesday's win over the Rockets, scoring 35 points with three rebounds, 10 assists, two steals and five three-pointers in 37 minutes.
Analysis: Harden's 35 points were the most he's scored in a game against the Rockets since leaving Houston. Given how tight the race in the middle of the Western Conference standings is, the Clippers will need Harden to be at his best for their final two games of the regular season. That's good news for Harden managers in active leagues, as this should ensure that he's available for the Clippers' matchups with the Kings and Warriors.
Nicolas Batum
Nicolas Batum (groin) will not return Wednesday
Wed, Apr 9, 2025, 5:49 PM
Joey Linn
Nicolas Batum (groin) will not return to Wednesday's game against the Rockets.
Analysis: Batum was red-hot during the first half, scoring 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting with three rebounds and four three-pointers in just nine minutes. Unfortunately, the veteran forward is dealing with a sore right groin and will not return. Kobe Brown could potentially enter the rotation, but there isn't much to gain from rostering him in active leagues.
